Karen Scammell Joins ECM Plastics as Vice President of Sales

ECM Plastics, Inc., a leading plastics compounder, is proud to announce that Karen Scammell has joined the company as Vice President of Sales. Including previous leadership positions at DSM and Axsun Technologies, Ms. Scammell brings with her over twenty years of sales management experience in both the plastics compounding and high tech industries, and she holds a B.S. in Plastics Engineering from UMass Lowell and an M.B.A. from Northeastern University.

Ms. Scammell joins the ECM Plastics' senior management team, founders and owners John Coz, Randy Youngsma and Wayne Marquis. “Our company was built on superb color control and unrivalled product development capabilities,” said Wayne Marquis, President of ECM Plastics. “With the addition of Karen to the team, we will bring our unique product realization capability to new customers nationally and globally. We’ve enjoyed success with molders, film convertors, resin distributors and the majors.  We’re confident that Karen will lead us into new markets while maintaining our core mission as a first class manufacturer of custom compounds and concentrates,” he added.

Ms. Scammell will continue the growth of ECM Plastics, as they expand sales beyond their traditional base of New England and the Mid Atlantic regions. With her plastics industry knowledge, Ms. Scammell will lead the experienced ECM Plastics sales team, building relationships at all levels of the plastics supply chain, while promoting the company's custom compounding, resins, fluoropolymers, colorants, masterbatches and tolling services.
