Mold-Masters has announced a pellet-to-gate solution for molders and mold-makers who want to convert their single-material presses into multimaterial systems. Mold-Masters, which sells hundreds of
multimaterial hot runner solutions each year, now provide a complete, portable multimaterial solution for use on existing mono-material presses. The firm asserts this less expensive than buying a multishot machine. The injection units are available in hydraulic and electric options from 10 to 36 mm screw sizes. The hot-runner mounting saves space and makes it easy to move the system to another press. All hot-runner and injection unit controls can be integrated into a single HMI for ease of use. The control unit synchronizes the operation of the machine, robot and auxiliary injection unit through a single interface, either SPI or Euromap 67.
